NetPilot configuration for remote client (road warrior) operation

Configuring the target NetPilot for NAT-T operation
You must be running version 3.0.5 or later software on the target NetPilot. You need to set up the Road Warrior VPN profile in the standard manner as described below. There is nothing extra to configure for NAT-T operation, but there are differences to the client configuration as described elsewhere on this site.

We have had questions "Why do I have to enter remote client addresses into this relay table " - Answer this security feature prevents hackers taking over your NetPilot to email out their undesirable content !

Top tip for Lap Top Outlook users !
This is a suggestion if you use a Lap Top attached in your main office LAN (which uses NetPilot as the email server) during the day, and then take the PC home to connect remotely using the PC client. It's probably simpler to configure Outlook to send and request emails to the IP address of the NetPilot rather than the DNS name "NetPilot". Using this name will work fine in the office, but "NetPilot" will not resolve in client mode back at home unless you do some extra configuration - so its simpler just to use IP addresses !
